Creating a Report Denominator

Note: Denominators are currently only used in the RL6:Infection product.

Denominators provide context to what is being shown in the main part of the report. They can be used to determine, for example, if the number of medication errors are increasing because the hospital is busier. The files that make up the report define the numerator. Denominators can be manually entered by a user with role access.

Prerequisites: You must have the 'Allow Access to Report Center' and 'Create Report - Denominators' functions enabled for your role.

To create a denominator:

  1. Access the Report Center and click the Denominators tab.
  2. Click New Denominator to create a new denominator, as shown, or check the box next to an existing one and click Edit.
  3. Complete the fields in the New Denominator dialog. Only the Name field is required. See Denominator Properties
  4. Click Save to return to the Denominator page.
